Gonzalo Barboza
⸻ Gonzalo is the founding partner of ELLIPSE.
He has over 25 years of experience in IP and has worked in the United States, Europe and Latin America, and on both sides of the fence, as an inhouse lawyer for a multinational company and as a private practitioner. So his experience and expertise are truly global and his outlook and approach international by nature.
Gonzalo regularly advises his clients on trademark and design matters in Spain and overseas, as he manages the global and/or regional portfolio for a number of them. He is also quite active in advising his clients in the media and entertainment sectors, with the drafting and negotiation of contracts and the clearance of rights for audio-visual projects. His expertise also extends to the technology transfer sector, as well as to the fields of licensing and franchises.
Gonzalo also coordinates enforcement and litigation for a number of clients not only in Spain but throughout
various countries, particularly in Latin America, where he has substantive hands-on experience.

Blanca Martínez Carbajo
Blanca has a professional experience of more than 8 years in the area of Industrial and Intellectual Property, coming from two top-level international firms and after an initial experience in judicial studies. His practice covers both the field of design and registration strategy and the protection and defence of IP assets at national, European and international levels, particularly in the field of trademarks.
Specifically, it is focused on the management of global portfolios, administrative procedures such as oppositions and cancellation procedures before the different Trademark Offices, legal opinions, registration and use investigations worldwide as well as experience in negotiation and drafting of contracts and agreements in the matter. Blanca has been a member of the Madrid Bar Association since 2013.

Ana Victoria
Corte
With more than 10 years of experience in IP, Ana Victoria is focused on providing advice on strategies for the protection, defence and enforcement of trademark rights at national, European, foreign and WIPO levels.
She also prepares legal opinions regarding the use and viability of trademarks, and extends to the contractual area of licensing, coexistence agreements and assignments. On the other hand, she proposes viable options for the defense of clients’ rights and to prevent third parties from taking advantage of them, by means of cancellation and/or nullity actions, as well as possible trademark infringements, in order to achieve the cessation of the same.PRACTICE AREAS
